Importance of multiple revenue sources

One important reason for having alternate or multiple revenue sources is based the adage of not putting all the egg in the same basket.

This is a basic principle in investing and risk management. It certainly still holds true when comes to online revenue.

Have you heard of Adsense account being disabled? Look no further than here, here, here and here.

How about similar stories with other revenue sources? Sure. Here (CJ), here (Linkshare) and more if you search around.

Bottomline?

Get more revenue sources ready.

  • I love your website design it is beautiful. I was looking around on Technorati and I found a link to your old blog. I just started one (well my first money making one lol) and I am just getting started. Have no idea what to write though so I have used a few articles at Ezine Articles for now. Just going to go look around your site.

  • Welcome! Thanks for the compliment, comments like this make every blogger’s day.

I found that the secret to writing is to write when you don’t need to. Have a few articles written when you have the inspiration and publish them at intervals.

  • That is a very good idea. Thank you. It is easier writing for my personal blog because there are always things I can write about.

I am going to be signing up with Gano Excel next week. I am not sure if you have heard of them. The Healthy Coffee company with Reishi mushroom. Their company was given 1 million dollars to help affiliates get started. I love coffee so that really appeals to me.

I have been searching the internet for a long time to find someway to make money online, it is hard to find something to promote. I have a friend who makes money with Adsense but he has tons of traffic. I don’t really want to advertise on my personal blog which is why I started another on a subdomain.

I still can’t get over how great your site looks! It is very unique and refreshing. ttyl.

I also have resell rights for tons of ebooks and software I am just not sure that is the route I want to go. I definitely want to sell something though. I have sold Amway, Quixtar, Melaleuca, Tupperware, and others, I just didn’t like feeling obligated to buy expensive products every month. Trivita is another I am interested in. I will keep looking for something and keep an open mind. I think the others didn’t work out because I didn’t believe in them.

  • Hi Issac, paragraphed your comment a little hope you don’t mind.

You are right to say that you have to believe in what you are doing. This is one reason I’m doing this blog and collecting success story - to show myself and others that it works.

  • Hey just found this in my stats as you linked to my ‘Bad day at the office’ post (the 3rd ‘here’).

I just wanted to say that my friend who was posted about got his adsense account back after a week. He did what I think I posted about. He offered all of his raw access logs, a screen shot of his IP and location using http://www.ip2location.com and pretty much kept it polite and offered anything they wanted if they just asked him for it.

He also emailed them every other day, to give them a nudge and see on their progress. Admittedly he never had a response, and after about a week I suggested to use the Adsense blog email address and try that. Suddenly the next day (coincidence perhaps) he had an email telling him his account was unsuspended.

So it does happen if you’re innocent, stay calm and polite and be ready to offer everything you can to help them with their investigation. But of course, it always helps to have other options available as you say.

Nice site by the way :)

  • Thanks for the feedback Sarah.

It sure is reassuring to hear that the AdSense admin is not a huge blackhole where plead don’t get heard.
