While looking around for alternative revenue sources, I found blogads. Only thing is this network is invitation only so new signup must be sponsored by a blogger in the network.
My first reaction was to email some of the offers floating around. However taking a step back, I decided to first search around for information.
And there was plenty.
Blog Design Solutions (use to have) has some invites. She was asking for information about traffic and appeal to advertisers. So one have to assume there is some kind of requirement to join the network.
MindBlog gives a good introduction to monetizing which mention a few programs including Adsense and Blogads. According to him, Blogads is a proven performer.
As mentioned by Mindblog, a lot of political blogs utilize BlogAds.Outside The Beltway is one such political blog which uses Blogads and provided a revenue analysis.
Since I do not have as much traffic is not a political site, should I go for Blogads?
Popularity: 2%
I suppose I should caveat my statement of BlogAds being a proven performer. While BlogAds is a proven performer, it is extremely difficult to gain advertisers unless you meet BlogAds traffic criteria (3,000 page views per week, I believe) to appear on their listings, promote yourself to potential advertisers via e-mail and other contact, or join a network. Even then, joining a network is no guarentee, as network purchases are often based on how well the network promotes itsself to advertisers.
With BlogAds, traffic is the key to ultimate success. If you can manage 3,000 page views per week, you’ll likely get advertisers. Joining a high-traffic network is also a fairly good idea, if you can find one that your blog will mesh with.

Thanks very much for the tips Eric!
3000 page view per week is not to difficult a target. Broken down, it is about 430 a day. I’m 1/4 way there :P
