Not too long ago I came up with an idea to share my referral revenue from Text Link Ads with anyone that sign up with my affiliate links.

A few took up the offer (thanks! you know who you are). But until now the referral had not appear on my account. I want to post this update so that no one thinks that I’m cheating them.

Support email was sent from their contact page and so far nothing was heard from them for weeks now.

If you know any contacts in TLA that could help clarify, please let me know.

Since adding Performancing Partner to my sites less than 2 weeks ago, I got my first advertiser on FreeBizWare.

This was much faster than I had expected but the real joy was that it was on FreeBizWare. I’d alway maintained that FreeBizWare is one of the better blog that I had done. Text Link Ads however does not seem to think so and rejected the site a few times.

One thing about Performancing that I do not understand is how they set their auto pricing. Every once in a while I recieve emails informing me that my site has been priced. What was more mysterious was that I sold this first ads for $1 (!) and almost immediate after I approved it, most of my sites were increased to $25.

Well, I’m pretty excited and I hope my $1 advertiser get some business from the ads.

Performancing introduces Performancing Publisher Partners, offering bloggers yet another revenue source.

On the first look, the payout also look much more generous than others such as Text Link Ads or LinkWorth.

Publisher take 70% of advertising revenue your blog generates.

Performancing takes 30%

Publisher take 5% of income generated by any publisher or advertiser referred

On the other hand, the Performancing Publisher program is not a text link program but advertising, so it should be comparable with Text Link Ads terms.

The Performancing Publisher is also be comparable with Adsense since it is not contextual. Advertiser select blogs from the Partner network to advertise on them.

The Partner payouts for referrals is an attractive feature because it generates residual income over time. Residual income really helps when trying to create income over time by decoupling the revenue stream from your action.

Interestingly I found this new marketing spin call “The Death of Adsense“

Normally I get bombarded with so many “marketing guru” email daily that I just ignore the pitch. But something about it caught my attention.

First was the graphic, impactful, shocking, got my attention.

Then it was the free report. Yeah I got lots of free reports saved on my harddisk. Wouldn’t mind adding another to the collection. Why not?

Then I found that I was duped! The guy before got paid $0.50 just for me to download it. (That’s Fifty, five-o, 1/2 a dollar, NOT a fraction of a cent!)

What! The guy behind this spin is on drug or he is crazy or both! A viral marketing like this would create thousands if not tens of thousand of download. And he is paying for each download!

Well, what you waiting for? Click here to bust this guy and earn me 50 cents.

Text Link Ads (my review) is a popular source of revenue that had received good review in forum such as Earners Forum.

The concept is simple, the service broker site owners who what to get one directional links with publisher willing to host their links. So if you own a website, you are a good candidate to sign up for Text Link Ads.

Now I will even pay you to sign up. Here’s why and how.

Text Link Ads has a referral program that pays $25 if any referred visitor results in a sale or gets accepted into their publisher program.

Click on this banner and sign up now and if I get paid, I will share the referrer fee 50-50 with you.

Interested? Find out how.

Follow the banner above or this link to sign up.

Send me your name that your sign up with.

If your name appears in my referral payment list, I will pay you via PayPal when TLA pays me.

Done.

Can you trust me?

Well, that’s the only catch, you will have to trust me. If you don’t, simply don’t sign up. Simple.

A few days ago I got my first Text Link Ads buy on my site. Exciting! So naturally I took a closer look at how I can optimise this source of revenue.

While reading their link buying guide (pdf), I learnt about site wide links. Something I had not paid attention to before.

Here’s what they have to say,

Site wide links can put your link on 1,000’s of pages on one domain. We do not recommend purchasing a large number of site wide links on unrelated websites. You can draw attention to your website because your competition may have 50 links and then your site starts showing up with 2,000 backlinks. This can potentially cause your competition to file a spam report if you are buying links on unrelated websites and could cause your site to be banned by a major search engine.

Having the same link text on too many site-wide links could also raise a flag for having too high of a percentage of the same anchor text pointing to your website.

A site wide link will not typically give you much of a boost over one link from the best page of a website on Google. Site-wide links can help more in some search engines like the new MSN Search and Yahoo! Search, but you still need to stay relevant.

It is more natural for a website to have a high percentage of single page links versus a much smaller percentage of site wide incoming links. Too many site wide incoming links could possibly trigger a red flag with the search engine.

(Underlines are made by me.)

Things to ponder:

How do I offer single page link with WordPress?

Am I not getting link buyers because I offer site wide and Text Link Ads warn against it?

I talk about the need to seek different source of revenue so that not all the eggs are put in the same basket.

A few days ago I just received a Paypal credit for a program that I had joined. So I know this is a real, tried and tested program that I can recommend to you.

The company is called eNMarketing and they run 3 programs – Cardfountain, TrustyHound and FunnyTaf affiliate programs.

So far I find the CardFountain program most effective as it pays $0.50 for anyone that sign up and send an ecard from their service. The cards are well designed and especially the talking card is unique.
They payout using Paypal when your earning reaches $25. That means you just need 50 people to send out the cards to receive your earning.

Besides ecards, there are free downloads, screensavers that may appeal to your visitors.

Sign up is free, so why not give it a try? (Links contains my affiliate links.)

Text Link Ads is relatively new program that came online not long ago. I first saw it on Problogger, but it was when I saw it on TechCrunch that I really took notice.

In a nutshell, Text Link Ads sells text links on your site on your behalf.

Let’s see how is this useful and how you can earn revenue.

It all starts from the basic idea that linking increase visibility.

Imagine that Seeking Revenue is popular site. You want me to link to your site so that visitors (including search engines) will visit you.

What can you do?
You can either ask me nicely to create a link (which I’m too busy to create) or Buy from Text Link Ads.

How does it work?
If I am a Text Link Ads (TLA for short) publisher, TLA gives me some codes which I place on my site. These codes get a list of advertisers that had brought link on my site creates the links.

How effective is it?
I had just signed up as a publisher so I have no idea how well it works. However Darren over at Problogger had been using it with some nice results.

Using text link ads (note the lower case, referring generally to all text link ads) has its controversy.

SitePoint has an article on the use of text links to boost search engine ranking. Matt Cutts over at Google presented Google’s standpoint on text link ads.

Should you buy text links or sell link ads using Text Link Ads? I am giving it a try.
