I have found a better way to increase your revenue rather than using simple competitive ad filtering.
If you have an adwords account it will be pretty easy, even if you donot spend anything on adwords.
You can make a research on the adwords keyword tool to find out the high paying keywords suitable to your site i.e. matching your content. Now highlight those keywords by making them bold or emphasising. Now you can expect a greater CPC revenue.
It really works.

Don't just pick up any random list from the web. Test on your own, on your own website. You might just end up blocking targeted ads. So better, experiment. Just my 2 cents.

I'm working on adsense and adbrite but adsense seem to be promising because sometimes adbrite ads don't show up.

Thats actually a good idea to increase your CPC. However I got the idea that Google wont pay you more for more clicks. It seems they dont allow me to earn more money even I get more clicks. Guess they need a certain conversion rate for their customers before they allow me to earn more money.

Just the right kinda information I'm looking for. I'm a newbie still trying to come to terms with optimising Adsense. Been spending the past one month modifying my Wordpress template to put Adsense to wherever I want. Please take a look http://www.mommadiary.com, and all constructive criticisms are appreciated.
